The Griswolds

We had a rough start to the Holiday Season this year.
I knew that being around family would be the pick-me-up cure I needed. So, Q and I took a little mommy & me adventure together- from TX to NJ (Daddy would soon join us at a later date.) We arrived the same day as my brother, who flew in from England for his holiday break. To say that we had a mini-family reunion at the airport would be an understatement.
The "Miller" Family of 5 was together again...with the addition of little Q in the mix.

Let me start by saying that a Christmas family tradition of ours has always been watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation together. And so, when my sister planned a little "surprise" field trip for us...it was, well...perfectly appropriate!

Off we trekked to a "cut your own" Christmas Tree Farm. It was a day fulled with laughs, funnel cakes, deer poop {use your imagination}, tractor rides, hot chocolate, and photo-ops galore! I think it's safe to safe that we put the Griswolds to shame out there in the fir tree fields.
It was a day much needed...by everyone.

These are the days you remember forever...this is what family traditions and memories are made of. This is what family is all about.
This is my family.
My heart.

Quinnie has enough of picture taking and made a run for it!

"This one...?"

Cutest lil' tree topper ever...

The Miller-Mac Girls...

Thank goodness for Aunties & Uncles...and iphones!

Most stylish lumber-jack I know!

A few tree stump shavings to save as ornaments! {Thanks for the great idea Auntie B!}

 {And as for our newly chopped tree? Well... "Looks great! Little full, lotta sap"}

Winter Wonderland

 A Little Winter Wonderland {aka Christmas Card} shoot.

...don't be fooled...it took 3 different attempts, 3 different days to complete this gallery! ;)

Little Beauties

So, I have a fun little project that I can't tell you all about just yet..but I can share some of the images I've been working on! {Eeeek! How gorgeous are these girlies?!}
Sometimes I want to pinch myself...this is what I get to do every day! There isn't a day that goes by that I am not grateful for the opportunities that come my way. A huge thank you to the parents for allowing their beautiful babes to be my models!

{Note: The project requires horizontal images only and has somewhat specific requirements, which is why some of the images are very similar.}

Family

Family is everything to me. So on my last trip out to California for a cousin's wedding, my sweet Aunt  mentioned that she had this great big wall in her new home that was just begging to be filled with photos. You better believe that my mind started racing...when could we squeeze in a quick photo shoot during such a short visit? After all, we had a wedding to attend, wait....ding ding ding!  Everyone was dressed to the nines, we were on beautiful golf course at sunset, and the models were as sweet as they come. {so maybe I am a bit biased} ;)
Picture the lot of us, trekking across the golf course (several extra cousins in tow), "searching for the light", stiletto heels digging into the green, golf balls flying in our direction. I was determined to give this amazing family some beautiful photos for their home...
Sure, it was impromptu and unplanned but there was love in the air and it made up for any lack of planning on my part. Of course, once the shutter started clicking...there was no stopping who jumped in front of the lens. Here is a tiny peek of my crazy and beautiful extended family...

And lastly, one of my favorites of little Q during our CA visit, learning to play "peek-a-boo" with her cousins. This is what family is all about. <3 p="p">
